Tuscaloosa city council approves proposal for Sports Illustrated Resort

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Tuscaloosa city council members voted on Tuesday, June 24 to approve plans for the Sports Illustrated Resort. The resort will be located at Rice Mine Loop. This is the second attempt to approve the resort after pushback from Tuscaloosa residents caused the city council to delay plans. An update proposal was then revealed in April.
